Energy estimates

Estimated calorie needs begin with standard equations that use age, sex used for the calculation, height, weight, and activity. A goal adjustment can then be applied within conservative planning bounds.

Actual energy needs vary. Raso should make assumptions visible and allow adjustment from progress, hunger, routine, and qualified professional guidance.

Protein and macro ranges

Protein is handled as a range based on body weight and goal rather than one universal target. Carbohydrate and fat allocations are planning choices inside the overall energy estimate and dietary preferences.

  • Ranges are preferred when the evidence and context support a range
  • No macro is presented as a diagnosis or guarantee
  • Extreme targets should be flagged rather than normalized

Recipe nutrition

Recipe values are calculated from ingredient quantities and serving sizes. Brands, substitutions, preparation methods, and household measurements can change the result.

Every public recipe labels nutrition as estimated per serving. Internal content should retain ingredient-level provenance and review status before publication.

Personal safety

Pregnancy, eating disorder history, pediatric nutrition, kidney disease, diabetes medication, and other medical contexts need individualized professional guidance. Raso is not designed to substitute for that care.
