Recipe and timing tests

A recipe is cooked from the written instructions with the named equipment and starting assumptions. Timing begins at a stated point and distinguishes active work from total time.

When storage or reheating is part of the promise, the test includes that later serving rather than judging only food eaten immediately.

Comparisons

Raso records how items were selected, the purchase date and market when price matters, the serving or unit used, and the criteria applied to every item.

Taste panels, repetitions, and blind conditions are disclosed when they are used. A small panel is not presented as universal preference.

Commercial independence

A sponsor, free sample, affiliate relationship, or other material connection is disclosed. Commercial value does not determine the test result or remove an item from criticism.

Raso will not publish a best-product page before it has the capacity to perform and document the promised testing.

Updates and corrections

A method or conclusion is updated when a product changes, new evidence alters the comparison, or an error is found. Material corrections are explained rather than hidden behind a new date.
