Useful swaps
Use an all-yogurt cream: Stir 280 g Greek yogurt with 2 g vanilla and 0.3 g cinnamon for 45 seconds. Mix 3 g cocoa, 5 g maple, and 5 g warm water, then top the yogurt with 50 g orange, 30 g granola, 10 g pistachios, and all cocoa sauce. Remains vegetarian and is less cannoli-like but still rich and creamy. Contains milk, tree nuts, and any allergens declared by the granola. Protein remains high while sodium decreases slightly.
Make an almond-orange bowl: Mash 100 g cottage cheese, then fold in 180 g yogurt, vanilla, and cinnamon. Top with 50 g orange, 30 g granola, and 10 g chopped almonds; stir cocoa, maple, and warm water until smooth and drizzle all of it over the bowl. Remains vegetarian. Replaces pistachio with another tree nut and retains milk and granola allergens. Calories and protein remain close with a firmer nut crunch.
