Useful swaps

  • Use cottage cheese: Replace 170 g Greek yogurt with 170 g low-fat cottage cheese. Blend or mash it smooth with 10 g harissa, 15 g almond butter, 5 g lemon juice, and 0.3 g salt. Cut and dry 100 g carrot sticks and 75 g cucumber sticks, spoon all of the cottage-cheese dip into a cup, and serve every vegetable alongside. Remains vegetarian and becomes thicker and slightly more savory. Still contains milk and tree nuts. Protein remains high and calories stay similar, with slightly more sodium.
  • Use tahini: Replace 15 g almond butter with 15 g tahini. Whisk it with 170 g Greek yogurt, 10 g harissa, 5 g lemon juice, and 0.3 g salt for 45 seconds. Cut and dry 100 g carrot sticks and 75 g cucumber sticks, spoon all of the tahini-yogurt dip into a cup, and serve every vegetable alongside. Remains vegetarian. Replaces tree nuts with sesame and still contains milk. Calories and protein remain close, with a more savory sesame flavor.
