Useful swaps

  • Use dill as the lead herb: Replace the 5 g chives with 1 g additional dried dill, for 1.8 g dill total. Stir 0.7 g salt into 245 g yogurt and strain it covered at 40°F or colder for 8 hours. Mix the thick labneh with 15 g lemon juice, 2 g garlic, 0.4 g black pepper, and all 1.8 g dill. Fold in 80 g finely grated cucumber squeezed dry, spoon into a bowl, and spread all 9 g olive oil over the surface. Remains vegetarian and becomes more dill-forward. Contains milk and introduces no new major allergen. Nutrition is effectively unchanged.
  • Use chives as the lead herb: Replace the 0.8 g dried dill with 5 g additional sliced chives, for 10 g chives total.
