Useful swaps
Use almond butter: Whisk 180 g soy milk, 10 g almond butter, 8 g chia, 0.5 g cinnamon, 5 g maple, and 0.2 g salt. Stir in 50 g oats, cover and chill 8 hours, then stir and top with 20 g chopped dates and 5 g toasted sesame. Remains vegan. Replaces sesame in the base with tree nut, but the sesame topping remains. Almond butter raises protein slightly with similar calories.
Use orange instead of dates: Replace dates with 100 g diced fresh orange, keep it chilled separately, and add it with sesame seeds only after the overnight rest. Remains vegan. Still contains soy and sesame. Orange lowers calories and makes the breakfast brighter and less sweet.
