Useful swaps

  • Use salmon instead of tuna: Whisk the yogurt, lemon, oregano, chives, salt, and pepper. Fold in 140 g cooked chilled salmon, 100 g safely chilled brown rice, and 80 g chickpeas, then add cucumber, tomatoes, and olives and chill 5 minutes. Remains pescatarian. Still contains fish and milk. Salmon raises calories and omega-3 fat while keeping protein high.
  • Make a dairy-free dressing: Whisk 15 g tahini with lemon and 10 g water, add oregano, chives, salt, and pepper, then fold through tuna, 100 g safely chilled brown rice, chickpeas, cucumber, tomatoes, and olives and chill 5 minutes. Becomes dairy-free but remains pescatarian. Introduces sesame and retains fish. Tahini raises fat and calories slightly and lowers protein modestly.

Storage and reheating

  • Refrigerate for up to 2 days.
  • Not marked as freezer-friendly.
  • Suggested reheating: Serve Cold.
